Non-Owner Occupied and Owner Occupied Investment Properties
Non owner occupied properties are residential investment only type of properties that range from 1-4 units. Investors are not allowed to live in such properties because their occupancy affects the revenue they generate. However, owner occupied commercial properties such as 5+ units, shopping complex, offices and warehouses, garage bays, investors could occupy one to two units provided it will not affect the property debt service coverage ratio.
